The FIFA Center of Excellence Algiers, is a Medical Centre specialized in treating Sport Related Injuries.

The French Football Association’s national training centre (CNF) in Clairefontaine, in the heart of an exceptional environment abundant in greenery, is provided with a highly specialised medical centre.

A medical team composed of three doctors specialised in sports medicine, traumatology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, three physiotherapist and a physical trainer and other consultants (podiatrist, psychologist, nutritionist). This small and unified team enables close cooperation between all of the different specialists in order to build optimum individual rehabilitation programmes closer to the players’ daily needs, innovative professional practices to rehabilitate players and reintroduce them to training on highest quality pitches. The medical centre offers medical consultations, sports injury treatment and rehabilitation programs for professional or elite footballers while also providing services to athletes from other disciplines and of any level.

Mandatory medical surveys and check-ups of the national football teams and referees are provided here as well as survey, regular cares and rehabilitation of the young resident football academy (50 boys, 12-15 years old).

Radiology equipment for first-line investigations (conventional digital x-ray and ultrasound). Fast access to surgical consultations and CT/MRI scans is provided thanks to the network of different experts within close distance (Versailles Hospital, Rambouillet Hospital).

Sports physiology department offers isokinetic testing, cardiologic effort test on treadmill with measure of lactate thresholds (and VO2max by the end of 2016).

The centre is equipped with all of the devices and apparatus necessary for complete rehabilitation programs and care: AlterGÒ treadmill, 3 isokinetic devices, shockwave therapy, laser treatment, Game-ReadyÒ system. Pool for rehabilitation and cold bath, saunas for recovery.

Research and education in sports medicine is provided for medical students, physiotherapist and physical trainers as internship.
